Draft Agenda of the ITMS Kick-Off Meeting
Registration for ITMS Kick-Off Meeting 2022 (by 15th September)
Hotel contingent, booking for ITMS Kick-Off Meeting
With the development of an integrated greenhouse gas monitoring system for Germany "Integriertes Treibhausgas-Monitoringsystem für Deutschland" (ITMS), it will become possible to verify sources and sinks of the three most important long-lived greenhouse gases CO2, CH4 and N2O, utilizing independent measurements.
Since December 1, 2021 and August 1, 2022, the BMBF has been funding research projects concerning core components in the following areas:
- Atmospheric Modelling
- Atmospheric Observations
- Modelling of Sources and Sinks
on which further contributions to the ITMS will build.
This Kick-Off Meeting has the following goals:
(1) All funded partners of the core projects present their planned work and can thus lay a common basis for cooperation and exchange
(2) Synergies with existing and planned national and international research can be identified and expanded
(3) Information sharing regarding project goals, project plans and the role of the individual partners
In addition to the partners already involved, the invitation to this kick-off meeting is also expressly aimed at everybody interested, potentially contributing and potentially using ITMS results.
The ITMS Coordination Group looks forward to welcoming you to the ITMS Kick-Off Meeting in Jena.
